Why Javascript should not be used?

The programming language was introduced to the public in 1995 by Netscape und Sun Microsystems. Javascript is an interpreter language, which is administrated of www browsers. With a Javascript program you can access on all elements of a HTML side, you can open and close new windows, you can intercept inputs of user including mouse clicks and you can can change the status line and show messages. There are no meaningful applications for Javascript.

In opposition to HTML it can happen that the browser is making error messages, brings the browser or the complete PC to a crash. Then a reboot is necessary. There is generally a safety risk if you let run strange and unchecked software on you computer. Fortunately you can switch off the Javascript support in all usual browsers.

Therefore Javascript is not suitable to transport important information. You would not see them if necessary.

This shop does not use Javascript for the shopping cart. We only used it for unimportant things, as optical effects or the zoom function, which is opening in a smaller window.But its programmed in such a way that you can also switch off Jacascript. But it does not look so good.
