Why cookies should not be used?

General

Cookies are small units of information, which are stored on your computer. This storing is arranged by your server and is done by your browser. With this the online-shop is storing usually only a identification number which helps to identify the customer clearly at following inquiries without making an personalization.

At this procedure a problem is caused only then, if the web browser of the customer is so configured that it accepts no cookies. Some people switch off cookies, because they do not want to be able to be supervised. An online-shop which needs cookies absolutey, is neither customer-friendly nor functional.

Our shop works completely without cookies

Unfortunately there is the problem that you may not use the back-button of the browser, if you put an item into the shopping cart. We advised on it already at the "handling of the shopping cart". This is because of the fact that the programming of the shop converts the pages after click on the shopping cart an includes an indentification number. But if you go back with the browser, then you maybe will come back to a page where this number is not included. It is clearly that the shop does not know you any more.

Legal

Due to the challenges at the European domestic market the data protection was specified on level of the European community. The new guideline 2002/58/EG about the processing of personal data and the protection of the privacy in electronic communication came into effect on the 31 of July in 2002.

With this it is forbidden to the operators to use unnoticed cookies of the users of web pages. The user must be informed that cookies are used and for what.
